We offer educational presentations, tailored to your requirements, on birds, banding and environmental issues for schools, youth organisations and naturalist groups. Our bird expert, Peter Fearon is young, enthusiastic and experienced with all things feathered! Peter will come into your school to present a slideshow presentation explaining bird banding, the process, the benefits and how the students can help support birds in their own back gardens. With images of birds from all over the world, and the experiences to go with it, the presentation is a lively, accessible way for people of all ages to learn about birds and why it is important to study them!

Once the observatory has an established education centre, we will be able to offer a more ‘up-close’ look at bird banding through demonstrations and bird hikes.
